THR Construction LLC is a Dallas-Fort Worth custom home builder specializing in ground-up custom homes, barndominiums, and metal building homes that combine living quarters with functional shop space. THR started in August 2022 as a general contractor, known then as Texas Hardscapes & Restoration and the same standards that built our reputation there then go into every home we build from the dirt up now. The finished product is a home built right, delivered on time, and backed by a team that stands behind its work. As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of THR Construction LLC and a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps with nine years of service, David brings to THR the same standards of accountability, planning, and care for people that define his leadership in uniform.
David holds a degree in Construction Science and Management from Tarleton State University and built his early career as a commercial construction project estimator, where he learned that a successful build is won or lost long before the first shovel hits the dirt. That estimating discipline, an obsession with accurate numbers, realistic schedules, and clear scope, now anchors how THR prices, plans, and delivers every home.
As a Marine officer, David is responsible for the Marines under his charge: their training, their readiness, and their welfare. He leads THR the same way. He believes a leader's first job is to set a clear standard and then equip people to meet it. He believes trust is earned by telling the truth early, especially when the news is hard. And he believes the mission is never the building itself, but the family who will live in it.
To David, a construction project is someone's dream handed over on paper, and it deserves to be treated with the seriousness that trust demands. David is known as a straight shooter. Clients get honest answers about cost, timeline, and tradeoffs, and trade partners get clear expectations and a leader who holds himself to the same standard he asks of them.

Caleb Cowden

As co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of THR Construction LLC and a serial entrepreneur with a decade of experience as a founder and operating executive, Caleb is responsible for how THR runs: the systems, the schedule, the trades, and the day-to-day execution that turns a set of plans into a finished home.
Before THR, Caleb spent several years as a mergers and acquisitions advisor, guiding business owners through the sale and purchase of companies, work that sharpened his eye for financial discipline, risk, and what separates a well-run company from a lucky one. In 2026 he was recognized with the CXO Business Leadership and Excellence Award.
Caleb leads from the front and above board. He believes a standard is only as strong as the person willing to stand on the job site and hold it, so he is present, accountable, and reachable throughout every build. He believes leadership means owning the outcome and never asking a client, trade partner, or teammate to accept less than the truth. And he believes operational excellence is a habit, not a slogan: a clear plan, a schedule that holds, every phase verified before the next begins, and every dollar traceable. Integrity First is how he prices a job.
